The Element
Ferrofluid is a magnetic liquid that becomes strongly magnetized in the presence of a magnetic field. Considering its characteristic, ferrofluid is utilized by a lot of different fields and industries. Electronic devices, mechanical engineering, aerospace, medical science, analytical instrumentation, heat transfer and etc. For instance, it can form a liquid seal around shaft in hard disk drives and keep parts in place by its magnetic force. Related research is also being studied to kill cancer cells. All in all, ferrofluid is a crucial component of many science studies. We may not be able to see it on naked eyes, but the application is actually all around our daily life.
